It’s too far away to hear clearly by hearing aids
2020-05-11
If the hearing aid receives sound from a long distance, it will lose hearing after sound attenuation. It is obviously difficult for normal ears to hear the sound in the distance than to the sound in the near distance. What's more, hearing aids provide auxiliary function. No any hearing aids can replace good ears.
Generally, the best communication distance of hearing aids is within 2-3 meters in a quiet environment. If the distance is exceeded, it will be much worse. It is unclear to hear. Because the sound transmission will gradually decline with the distance. The microphone of hearing aids also has an optimal range to collect sound. If the distance is exceeded, the collected sound will be very miscellaneous. It is difficult for patients with hearing loss to distinguish between speech signal and noise signal. Therefore patients can't hear it clearly.
